Robert H. Howerton - began his legal career in the late 1960's, after graduating from Southern Illinois University and Northwestern University School of Law. Called to public service, Mr. Howerton served as Williamson County States Attorney, Williamson County Circuit Judge, and Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court, Fifth District. He is a trial lawyer, author, and teacher of the law. He returned from public service in 1992 and now is the firm's Senior Partner. Like the legendary trial lawyers, Ralph W. Harris and Gordon Lambert, he loves trial work.

Douglas N. Dorris - began his legal career in 1981. Mr. Dorris practiced with Mr. Harris's long time partner, Gordon Lambert, an inductee in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Lambert, now retired, passed on to Mr. Dorris that singular devotion for which Mr. Harris and Mr. Lambert were known, representing injured people in courtrooms all over Southern Illinois. A graduate of Southern Illinois University and its School of Law, Mr. Dorris, while well known for his unceasing wit, is better known for his uncanny success in the courtroom, rejecting small offers from insurance companies and turning them into large jury verdicts.

Stephen W. Stone - began his legal career in 1990 with then Justice Robert H. Howerton, serving as his judicial clerk in the Illinois Appellate Court, Fifth District. Mr. Stone is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and its School of Law, where he received the law school's highest honor for courtroom advocacy, The Order of Barristers. After his public service with the Appellate Court, Mr. Stone spent four years with a firm devoted solely to insurance law. His diverse background is unique among lawyers in Southern Illinois, where he is known for his expertise in trial and appellate courtroom advocacy, especially in the areas of personal injury and unfair insurance practices. Mr. Stone also teaches trial advocacy at Southern Illinois University, School ofLaw and serves as coach for the school's trial advocacy teams.
