About Our Marion Personal Injury Law Firm

Built on a Solid Foundation

Our history began in 1900 on the old Marion square. Warren W. Duncan, who served as Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, and Edward E. Denison, who served eight terms as a United States Congressman laid the cornerstone of our firm. In the 1930's, Denison partnered with Ralph W. Harris, who in the 1940s and 1950s became the best known courtroom lawyer in the region. Harris partnered with Gordon Lambert in the 1960s and 1970s and together they built a reputation for tireless advocacy, honesty and integrity. Lambert then partnered with current renowned attorneys Robert H. Howerton, Douglas N. Dorris and Stephen W. Stone in the 1980s and 1990s. With the addition of Mr. Lambert's son, James R. Lambert who joined us in 2008, Howerton, Dorris & Stone continues in the great tradition started more than a century ago.

A Dependable Team of Attorneys

Our attorneys include a former judge and highly respected courtroom lawyers who have built their careers working to ensure that people are treated fairly and have access to justice. We believe in our clients and we fight to protect them against the abuses and unfair tactics of the insurance industry.

Whether it's a serious personal injury case, a workers' compensation case, championing the rights of workers or fighting for someone harmed by medical malpractice, our focus never wavers.

Put Reputation and Experience on Your Side

We understand how important the role of a lawyer is in the lives of people facing serious injury. We have built our careers on helping people overcome challenges and we make sure you have a voice in the legal system.
